Here Comes the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy Again

Forgive the shameless T & A picture, but I am starting to hear it again.  With special and interim elections coming up and the Democratic candidates teetering on defeat, the Democratic talking points are starting to include references to the far-right taking control of the Republican Party again.  Ooooh, look out here comes the far right!  Run for cover, they're violent, they're aggressive, they hate government, they're religious fanatics and, gosh, a lot of them are pro-life.  This is why liberals are so damn dumb.  Every time they try to give America a big woosey-shot of socialist morphine, the public flees for the right.  The far-right label (a demonization of which Sol Alinsky would be proud) is meant to scare off the overwhelming majority of American voters that call themselves "independent".  But who's scared of what?  The Liberal label is a far more damaging one to most Americans.  So much so that one of the most glaring weasel words of all time was concocted to give cover to liberals.  It's the word Progressive; as in progressively less freedom, progressively larger government, progressively more taxation and progressively more arrogant.  Have fun at home and see how many more you can come up with!

But why should the far-right scare anyone off?  What does the Right, in essence, stand for?  The Constitution?  That's a good place to start.  Liberals are hell bent to change the constitution, without changing it.....ooops, I'm talking about judicial activism and legislative overstepping, but I can't go there now.  Right wingers love the constitution as it is and as it was meant to be by the Founding Fathers.  Christianity?  When's the last time a Christian hurt you, or the sight of a cross caused injury?  Oh, and by the way Christians live just fine amongst Jews unlike Muslims who seem to be the darlings of the liberals.    Less government?  The more you know about Pelosi and Reid the less you like them.   Lower taxes? I think the founding fathers wanted you to keep every dollar you made and give it up only if you wanted to.  More violent?  Gee I guess because we believe in the Second Amendment and might know a thing or two about guns makes us violent.  Guns make liberals pee in their pants.  And what's wrong about saying no to abortions? I'm kind a soft on the issue, but you know what, people should be smart enough to prevent pregnancy or, if they are reckless, live with the consequences without whining or sucking on the government teat.

The Right Wing is aptly named.  It is composed of people who think right (aka correctly).  It is made up of people who are closer to the core of American values than the lefties are by a long shot.  The left view of America is a toothless tiger on a leash wearing a skirt, variations of which are seen daily on San Francisco's streets.  A nation of people coddled and enslaved by government, devoid of might and morally corrupt.  When you hear the squeals of the liberals calling out the brutes and savages on the Far Right you know America is on the mend.

Hollow Message on Health Care-Trying to Fleece the US Chamber of Commerce

I listened to Obama's speech to a gathering of small businesspersons at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce the other day. He was there just days after news reports that the Chamber is on the White House enemies list for dispensing false information about the administration's infallible policies.  Go figure.  It ended up being a slightly pathetic plea for support from his "enemies".

To say that the president and the crowd were guardedly reserved is an understatement. For a minute I was thinking he was giving an interview to FOX News. Anyway, the big "sell" was on for the health care poison pill that just came out of the House. As Comrade Pelosi engaged in effusive back slapping for herself and her socialist colleagues, I began to think; "is this really happening"?. On the one hand we have the House, blithely passing a bill that unfairly punishes the most prosperous in our society (aka THE RICH}. On the other hand we have the hapless president, who has never run a business in his life, trying to convince experienced business people that they need health care. Get a clue.

The Chamber crowd knows about business. They realize that you don't get something for nothing. Obama, in his attorney mode, spoke to the fact that the attendees businesses "may" (beautiful weasel word really meaning WILL) be compelled to buy health insurance. This comes on top of the requirement that individuals will be compelled to buy health care insurance or be fined. Where in the constitution does this kind of power come from? Would someone please tell me.....and make it good.  The health care debate is simply about transferring more freedom (power) to the government.

Obama and company seem convinced that health care is the right of every person living in the United States. It is a liberal belief. Irrational and unfounded to its very core. To that end there is no cost that will not be heaped upon the U.S. economy to make universal health care a reality. You simply cannot add 36 million to the ranks of the insured without causing trouble, or really soaking everyone with taxes one way or the other.  There is "no free lunch".  The audience at the chamber knew this and that's why I believe his sales job fell on deaf ears for the most part.  The attendees also know that the hand in their pockets is not just for their workers, but the millions of non-working persons who will respond to the president's favor by going to the ballot box for another helping.

In the end, I guess Obama also missed the fact that most of the Chamber's attendees probably fall into his loosely defined "rich" classification. They know they are getting soaked by the snake-oil salesman running our country. Most left feeling their wallets a lot lighter.

Freedom is a Muscle That Requires Exercise

Humor has a habit of making dull subjects endurable.  If you have a few moments take a look at Bluto's famous motivational speech to his Delta House buddies; from the film "Animal House:.  To quote Larry the Cable Guy; "I don't care who you are, that's funny".

The reason I put this clip up here is that you have to get fired up to get things accomplished.  I apply that now to the situation that I feel we face in America.  We have long been told that there is a "silent majority" that really guides America in its ways.  But today, I think we face a greater peril.  One that requires the silent majority to become the VOCAL majority.  The left-wingers and socialists have been showing us how to play the game and we have just watched.  Now comes our time to step up to the plate for America.  We can no longer be silent while our way of life is taken from us.  We must follow Bluto's advice, pick ourselves up and fight.

I remember feeling pretty silly when I went out and bought sign making materials for my first Tea Party rally, but I slogged through it for some reason.  When I got there I realized I'd come home.  It was so refreshing to see people there that shared my views.  These were folks resurrected from apathy, as was I.  We felt compelled to be there just as Richard Dreyfus was drawn to the Devil's Tower in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".   By and large, everyone there was in it for themselves and for America; to prevent the "change" that those who simply vote by color, politics or personal gain had managed to get into the White House.  Dreams are one thing, reality is another.  The man in the White House wants us to be something else than what we have come to believe is America.

I blog about that enough; the objections and disagreements.  This blog is about motivation.  At some point you have to exercise the freedom "muscle", or it will wither and die.  We have thousands upon thousands of elected officials who do nothing more than create laws; day in and day out.  Excuse me, I forgot their generous recesses and holidays; that makes it a little better for us.

But, have you ever stopped to think what that means, having our legislatures in session year after year?   By definition a "law" is something that restricts freedom.  So year after year legislators make laws and Americans become less "free".  Obama has taken this a quantum step further with his agressive socialist programs and the invasiveness of his health care proposals and environmental agenda.    People who voted for him would say he is making them more free, but they are seriously deluded.   By the very nature of his premier programs, he is making us slaves to the "state".  But again, this is not about Obama, but Americans who like the way America is/was and want to keep it that way.

Get out there, sound off and fight for your freedom.  Make a sign, piss off a lefty.  Turn up Glenn Beck real loud and annoy your neighbors.  Have your liberal Aunt Alice disown you, but don't give up.  And if you listen to talk radio, there is an amazing Public Service Announcement (PSA) on now that makes me want to weep.  Its theme is that the "biggest impediment to your freedom is you".   As I found out, it's dead on the mark.   Call a congressman, write a letter, send emails and faxes.  It's the first PSA that I thought was worth the taxpayer dollars.

Don't Look Now-Butt (sic) They're At It Again!

After getting a shellacing in their town hall meetings in August, the legislators retreated to the relative safety of Washington.  There, surrounded by insulating walls of voice mail, rude attendants and staffers, they can comfortably forget the lessons they learned about pissing off their bosses, the American people.

Today, according to Rasmussen, a full 52% are against public based health care plans.  So what's on the table in the House from Nancy Pelosi....."a robust public option".  She is so afraid of calling this unpopular plan by it's real name, she proposed a.........wait for it.....NEW WEASEL WORD....the "competitiveness option".  Makes the castor oil more palatable.  I'll just call it the "soap on a rope option (SOARO)".  Kinda sounds like Soros (the hidden sponsor), or what we Americans will feel having to acommodate it should it pass.  Well the SOARO was DOA in the Senate, so Harry Reid, the most accomplished liar in America (except for Bill Clinton), waited for the flogged and scarred senators to get relaxed back home in Washington and now the SOARO is magically on the table again.  Despite the public objection to his ill conceived and unconstitutional health care plan Harry's gonna ram it to us anyway.

This makes me think once again about my own personal style of tort reform.  That would be to deny our senators and legislators immunity from prosecution for doing things we don't want.  Think about it?  Who are these people, that call themselves public servants, who are flipping us the bird and doing what they will?  They are all crazed megalomaniacs.  Feel that tingling in your arse?  That's the change we visited on our great nation.  Woe is me and all of us "right-thinkers".

The Sky Is Falling

Are you going to get your H1N1 flu shot?  I'm not.  I don't buy into the line that the government is pushing and I'd rather my body took care of the little bugger.  The problem is, millions and millions of other lemmings ARE running scared and are lining up for their shots.  Lordy, lordy the hype is fast and furious from the major networks, industry has ramped up and people are just plain scared.

Why?  When I was a boy, everyone got the sniffles every year.  Sometimes it was a 24 hour bout, sometimes a day or two.  It was the rare instance when you lost more than a few days.  In the end, your body was stronger and better able to fend for itself.  All the citizens who got the flu were in the end stronger, and the entire nation was stronger.  But society seems obsessed with germs and cleanliness.  A running nose, a slight cough will make a lot of people run for the hills.  Little Johnny must stay home from school for a few WEEKS.  Gladys, "will you please pick up a new supply of face masks at Walgreen's, and don't forget the hand sanitizer.  Come on!  We are becoming a nation of weenies and hypochondriacs.

But I digress.  What are the facts of this epidemic in the U.S.?  The generic annual flu virus kills 36,000, through today's post, the H1N1 has killed 1,000, but you have to question that figure because a lot of the deaths are suspected.  That doesn't keep the media from proposing that lots of people have died and we didn't know the real cause was Swine flu. It makes for a better story.

In trots the government.  All right, Uncle Sam can ride in and rescue all the helpless people.  Let's get, no order, the drug companies to ramp up production of a vaccine and then promise to deliver those doses.  We're going to need a hundred million doses or more.  We have to stop this plague before it wipes us all out.  "OH MY THE SKY IS FALLING!"  What do you suppose happened?  Despite all the government hype.....which drives media hype.....which drives "human lemming response-HLR" the government was forced to admit that the Pandemic (has an ominous tone doesn't it?) is much less than feared.  The symptoms are mild and the deaths are limited.  Oh by the way, all you lemmings, the virus shipments will be delayed, so the Pandemic will build and you will have to stand in long lines.  Oh, another by the way, we are shipping some vaccine overseas before you get yours because its the right thing to do.   Makes you want to run out and get government run health care doesn't it?

Since the fear factor was declining, the government trots out the theory that this is going to merge with the normal flu season and create chaos.  Now we have body counts in the media as if it was a war, then today, the crowning achievement....His Majesty declares a state of emergency.

Obama's Whitehouse is bathing in the manufactured crisis.  Once again Rahm Emanuel has a crisis that "he can't waste", but to what purpose?  Well, in  state of emergency you can bypass all kinds of federal rules.  Hmmmmm.  In a state of emergency you can see how many people respond, see how many pliable lemmings you have.  Hmmmmm.  Maybe get the military involved.   Hmmmmm.  Can you some day force these people to get a shot under the watchful eye of the government?   Hmmmmmm..   If your are conspiracy theory person, start writing your book.  This is just a dry run to test his Majesty Obama's authority and condition the people for more. When it comes time to draw the line, Obama will play this card again, only with a different manufactured crisis.

Can You Feel It Yet? FOX News in the Crosshairs.

I'm getting a little squirmy now.  I don't cotton much to conspiracy theories and I like to hope the best for the U.S., but this pogrom by the Whitehouse against FOX News is a little unsettling.

Imagine if you will some past and present dictatorships.  At the time of their rise, the dictators capture the support of a few newspapers and other news outlets.  Somewhere along the way, those news outlets develope a bias toward the despot and/or his way of thinking.  In time the bias is so ingrained that it passes for news and not editorial content.

Now along comes a dissident voice.  One that gains power and influence because it strikes a "chord" in the hearts of those who have, for some time now, been subjected to a slow brain washing by the heretofore "unbiased" media.  People starved to hear once again what it really means to be an American and who pays homage to the sacrifices of the founding fathers.  This "voice" gains enough influence to begin to direct public opinion against the entrenched leadership.  No longer does the political establishment have interpretive control of what the public sees and hears.  The voice is now a threat.

Now imagine that the politicians undertake an attack to discredit this new dissident voice.  In preparation for what?  Control?  Muzzling? Takeover?  Shut Down?  Can you say that this unprecedented attack on the independent media is without purpose and direction?  I think not.  Despots have long known that control of information and education is imperative for consolidation and fortification of power.  The techniques of media control made history in the form of Hitler's right hand man Josef Goebbels.  Today, we need only look south to Venezuela to see how it's done.  Is not what is happening to FOX News what must have been happening in Venezuela before Hugo Chavez began stripping away the right to free speech and muzzling all but the faithful?

The First Amendment is at a crossroads.  Never in our history have we been more vulnerable to seeing our ability to speak freely slip away into the night.  Never before have we seen the government directly attack and attempt to discredit a news outlet.  What remains to be seen is who will notice and who will take action.

The Nobel "Putz" Prize

My neighbor thought I was kidding.  I am known around here for throwing things into the discussion about government that defy belief.  It has become so common I am sure that some people blow me off, but this particular comment didn't drop off the radar.  "Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize", I said.  A pause, then on with the conversation.  An hour later the same neighbor calls me and says, I just heard the news, did Obama really win the Nobel Peace Prize?

That, I believe, is the reaction of most Americans that have come to view the Nobel Prizes as the zenith of human achievement. Obviously, when you begin to look at the ranks of the people who have been awarded the Prize, you begin to scratch your head.  But why should we be surprised?  This is the core of liberalism at work.  We wouldn't want President Obama have poor self esteem would we?  Next thing you know we will have bumper stickers on "soccer mom's" cars proclaiming; "My Child Won The Nobel Playground Award at Roosevelt Middle School.  That is the worth accorded the Peace Prize due to liberal political meddling.

I know this post is way after the news cycle but is just chaps my ass that this once prestigious award has been perverted to become a seal of legitimacy for a dangerously naive view of the world we live in.

Just How Dangerous is Obama?

My belief about government in this country is slowly (maybe rapidly) coming out in this blog.  To sum up, I believe government should only be responsible for the things we cannot rightly do for ourselves, like provide for our freedom and secure our borders, language and culture (thanks Mike Savage, you said it so well).  The lynch pin of this minimalist philosophy rests on national defense.  That is why I am so worried about this president and his weakness.  It is down right dangerous.

Today we hear that Obama is in a tiff with his hand picked general Stanley McChrystal over comments McChrystal made in interviews with 60 minutes and overseas.  Of course this comes not from our mainstream media, but from  the Telegraph in the U.K.  In essence (term used to avoid the deplorable use of "basically"), McChrystal slammed Joe Biden's assertion that the Afghan conflict could be run like a video game with remote drones and such.  McChrystal also took a back handed slap at the speed, or lack thereof, at which the administration was moving in deciding whether to place an additonal 40,000 troops in Afghanistan.

Now lets review a thing or two for the record.  Obama hand-picked McChrystal to run the Afghan war, so you would think he would be supportive of his general, who by the way is highly regarded in most quarters.  Obama used the Afghan conflict in the election by coming out in support for it so he could gain the votes of independents.  Obama and the Democrats long criticized George W. Bush for taking his eye off the conflict.  His Highness once blustered how he would even invade Pakistan if there was actionable intelligence about high value targets.  But is all this ringing a little hollow?

Word is out that Obama has spent less than an hour talking with McChrystal in only two meetings since he became president.  One of those times was a suspected reading of the "riot act" for coming out publicly against the administation.  Next comes the waffling on the troop request from his chosen general.  Is Obama actually thinking of withdrawing from Afghanistan to let it become "Chaosistan" according to McChrystal?  Has Obama already forgotten the Twin Tower disaster was planned by Osama bin Laden from his Afghan hideaway?  Does he covet the war money for his precious social agenda?  But these are simply rhetorical questions put to a man, Obama, who confesses to be uncomfortable with the concept of victory.

All this spells trouble for a country that needs to be on guard.  One could easily believe that Obama is genuinely uncomfortable with the military, from his wavering commitment to the mission and failure to meet regularly with his general.  This is a man whose best friends revile the armed forces and he is supposed to be commander in chief.  The message is going to trickle down to the troops that the president doesn't support the ongoing sacrifice to keep all of us free.  It also didn't take long for the liberal jackals in Congress to draft a resolution to block any move to increase the troop count in Afghanistan.

Are you scared yet?  No?  Then let's pile on.  Remember Guantanamo, the one time military base turned sensitivity trained prison; the one whose alumni, those that have been released, have gone on to new and more noble aspirations, like killing more American troops, civilians and innocents (No joke, do a Google search for Club Gitmo alumni who are now wrecking havoc across the globe once more)?.  Well Obama is actually trying to close it, but is having a little trouble placing the inmates.  It seems that a lot of nations are unwilling to embrace their return.  Go figure?  After a lot of arm twisting, Club Gitmo is emptying out, but not in the alloted time.  That has prompted talk about bringing the remaining prisoners here.  Yes, you heard it.  To the United States.  Even Diane Feinstein was caught in an interview saying she would support the movement of Gitmo prisoners to California maximum security facilities.  I suppose this is so the can be rehabilitated, not just so they can radicalize convicts and build a dangerous infrastructure in this country, but that would be stupid and seditious coming from a Senator wouldn't it?  Better rise up California.  Oh yeah, then there's that little policy about having openly gay persons in the military.  That's going to be good too.

All this spells trouble for our safety in the U.S, the primary reason for our government to exist.  While the liberals may cheer that all the conciliation, negotiation and military stand downs are good for our image, there are others out there that are also cheering for the wrong reasons.  They see America as the toothless tiger, just like Obama (I'm sorry Osama bin Laden; I get mixed up) called it.  If you want to read a facinating article, go to the American Thinker site and read the article by Greg Lewis about Obama the Beta Male.  This hits it dead on.  Lewis contends that Obama displays all the classic canine signs of submissiveness in his relations with the military and other world leaders.  Although some will cheer him on, they will privately weep that the one nation that could always be counted on as a beacon of freedom and to step in when no other nation could has silently crept, wimpering and trembling, into the shadows.  Given this transition to a Beta country under Obama's stewardship, what do you think will happen when we are attacked?  I don't think this president and Democratic congress has the spine to retaliate.  By the time this happens (God forbid) we may have been gutted as a military power.  This "man" we elected is truly dangerous.  If our government can not be relied on to protect us, what's the use?  Throw the Beta dogs out.

Ahmadinejad Laugher........On U.S.

Are you on the edge of your seat like I am?  There is a historical meeting taking place today between Iran and the U.S. today. Oh MY GOD!  Just as his Excellency promised, we are going to show the world how big we are and negotiate with tyrants and despots.  We are going to wow them with our charm and bend their corruption with our wisdom.......and all without preconditions.  Yes, that was the big kicker.  No preconditions.  After all it was shameful to embarrass Mahmoud and others of his ilk by asking that they make some concessions when dealing with the greatest nation on the planet.  Well I am here to tell you that Obama lied.  Yes he lied.  Get over it libs; the meeting does have preconditions.  Iran imposed them.  LOL.  It seems the mullahs refused to discuss their country's nuclear program.  Sounds like a precondition to me, just that it came from an unexpected direction.  I guess the diplomats are all going to spend their time critiquing the champagne and canapes (ooops, I forgot about Halal).  What in hell do we have to talk about with those folks if not their monstrous nuclear ambition?  Sooner or later the bulk of Americans are going to get tired of getting kicked in the teeth by dirtbags like Mahmoud.  This is not "the Change" in foreign policy I think most were looking for to put it mildly.
